You peel me like an onion skin
Somehow, I seem to find fantastic people wherever I go. I easily make friends, and even in a country where people are shy or stand-offish, I am still able to weed out friends from the masses.
Last Saturday I met a young woman at the train station who was on her way to Malmö as I was and we struck up a conversation. We instantly took to each other and decided to get together for coffee next week. She's a student in college, and to my surprise she was at the train station this morning when I got there early. We talked some more, and she is such a cute, positive and friendly person.
I am also really taken with my new friend Paul. Not only has he been wonderful in saving me from spending a night out alone, but he has also provided so much insight into my life, and "the difference that makes a difference." He is a compassionate listener, and the more I get to know about him, the more I really am struck with what amazing person he is.
Maybe I am not all that lucky when it comes to other areas in my life, but when it comes to friends, I am so very lucky.
All my friends reading this, know that I love you and appreciate you so very much.
