Idea

Today Tyler went to a sleep over after the birthday party, and Tayler was home with us. After an extended nap (we were up late with Kelly and Tom the night before), we took Tayler to her favorite, Chipotle, and then went to Easton and walked around.

To our delight we found the decanters we have been looking for, and Tayler spent some of her birthday money on a cute purple hat, some fingerless gloves and a t-shirt from hot topic with a monster rocking out on a guitar.

In one of the home stores we looked in for decanters, there was a table of novelty books, stickies, and other cool little gifts. My eyes caught on the conversation starters pack that was $10. It was a cute idea; inside a pretty sleeve were a pack of cards to take with you on a car ride that could start a conversation with a phrase or question. I wrote down the website, and looked them up online. Cool. But I didn't want to spend $10 + $10 in shipping so I decided to make my own.

It would be handy for long trips, or when the kids complain that they're bored.

All I needed were some business card pages, a business card template, a printer, and a cute little sleeve to put the cards in (I've seen them at the Container Store.

Oh, and I need some ideas to get started, and all I can find are journal prompts online.

Remember that wire I was talking about?

So, I dunno. This is making me nervous.

The wire that I touched with another wire. Well. There were two power wires coming from the car for power. There were two wires coming from the stereo for power. I tried each with each. They were both supposed to be power wires. So, I got genius and I decided to connect the two power wires from the stereo to the one power wire from the car.

And it worked.

Should I be concerned that I connected two power wires to one? Suddenly I am.

Thank god for curiousity

Well, I tried combining two wires I hadn't tried before, and the thing turned on.

I'll screw everything back together tomorrow.

ok, getting further

Ok, I got the wiring disconnected. I am making process.

Meanwhile Tyler is throwing a fit inside the house.

Well, it comes down to the hazard lights. How the HELL do I disconnect the wiring to the hazard lights?

Well, maybe it would have been worth the $100 for the install

I wish I would have called someone to help me with this damn cd player. Now, I have the entire front dash of my Civic disassembled and the kids are getting anxious (no school) and are trying to walk Ezra (one of our cats).
