Yesterday, coming out from a doctor appointment, I realized that I had a ticket on my van. At first I thought it was for not paying the meter. I was mad.
I was only 10 minutes over, and if I had thought to come down between Tyler's appointment and mine, this could have been avoided.
I've been puzzling over the ticket all today, and finally was able to decipher the message on it reading "FAIL TO REG/DSP."
I realized that doesn't match up with not feeding the meter.
And I realized that the time on the ticket was 4:20, and I had paid the meter up to 6pm.
And then I realized that the parking meters are not in force starting at 6pm.
And then I realized I had seen somewhere in our house, the registration renewal for the van.
And I finally realized Scott hadn't put the 08-09 registration sticker on the license plate.
$40 down the drain.
